If you want an outsiders point of view on this, TigerSaint is right. I can not see Saban leaving for another college job period. IMHO he would be nuts to go to another school. The only way yall lose Saban is if he wants the really big bucks from the NFL. If he does not go to the NFL in 2 years, you know he has decided to stay at LSU for the long haul.
And this is not a flame, but why in the hell would he want to go to Auburn. That just doesn't make any sense.

    GO COCKS!!!

Sorry I didnt necessarily mean Auburn, and I havent even kept up with him all that much. I just wondered what reactions would be in general. I just said Auburn because some of you guys have said that you dont generally dislike Auburn as a whole, just our coach. But like I said this was just my random thought for the afternoon, coming from a stressed out college student. I wasnt trying to rile people up or anything.

    WAR EAGLE!!

Thanks for all the points and opinions. I was just graduating from LSU when we got Saban, and I really like his Big10 style of play. I like the way he has built his program, and feel if he is at LSU long enough he could reach a Spurrier like streak of excellence.

While I was at LSU we went through so many coaching changes and the guys we got never quite fit in. Either they were bad recruiters (not getting the good La guys) or bad coaches (not having team prepared). When Saban loses, it still looks like our guys are ready for the game. But as long as he is at LSU, he will always have his name come up in debates like this.

I asked the question b/c last year before the Sugar he said he loved LSU and that his family was very happy in BR. I figure we would do everything to keep him and keep his deal on the high end of the SEC. It killed me to keep reading his name thrown up in coaching movement articles, so I wanted to know what the word at LSU is.

Bear did have a southern connection. He coached at Kentucky, but really wanted to go back to his hometown Arkansas (but instead went to Texas A&M). I think our days of Bear type college coaches is over. There is too much money to be made in the pros, and these guys want to test themselves on the pro level.

I am really happy with the job Saban has done (not just with the Florida game, but what he has done to our program). He completely turned around LSU and anyone who was there between the years of '91-95 knows what I mean.
