1. I've got a funny story about skipping out...

I had these two friends that were driving out of town. I was coming the next day, so it was just the two of them. They came across a "goldmine" dine and dash situation. The set up was just right. The waitresses were just dumb enough, and the situation was just right. They divised an elaborate signal, car, scheme to execute the plan. My friend gracefully walked out to the car, started it, and gave the signal. My other friend then waited for the opportunity to jump....and then got it. He coasted out of there, into the car, and then thirty miles later.....realized he had forgotten his cell phone....

They had to go back, pretend they forgot to pay, and walk out in disgrace....:D:D:D:D
  2. Those same cats also almost got arrested for trying to pull the same scheme at a mall-picadilly....
  3. This thread has "deteriorated" from the orginal theme of comparing Saban and Lombardi, in terms of building men of character, to eating cheap or free, due to this post!
Back to the original theme - there is a great article by Carl Dubois in today's Advocate. Link: http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/121003/spo_show001.shtml
I'm very proud of this year's LSU football team for all they have achieved on the field of play and for what is still within their reach - the grand prize! And, I am equally proud of the kind of people that they are, the way they carry themselves, and the character that they have shown. Nick Saban is the reason. What an awesome man.
  4. Dallas,

Are you referring to the Gattis on Mansfield Road ? Is it still there ??
  5. LMAO!!!
  6. TigerTrey...No I was referring to the Gattis on Youree Drive...
  7. Re: Saban is beginning to remind me of Lombardi ... RE: UF players rooting for LSU...

What on earth possessed you to pull this thread up tirk?
  8. Re: Saban is beginning to remind me of Lombardi ... RE: UF players rooting for LSU...

    that dirty liar.
  9. Re: Saban is beginning to remind me of Lombardi ... RE: UF players rooting for LSU...

The orginal poster gets me thinking about the kind of guy who might be called a "Saban Man"...

...leaves wife for the babysitter, who, despite still wearing braces had a grandfather die two months after discovering oil out on the ranch...

...tells kids they need to learn the value of work, makes them pay for school, then spends the next month spec'ing out a 50' boat at the kitchen table...

...steals clients from other guys in the firm by alleging they routinely mishandle accounts...
  10. Re: Saban is beginning to remind me of Lombardi ... RE: UF players rooting for LSU...

He could be the best coach at Bama since Coach Bryant.
