It's well-known that the biggest reason that Saban came here in the first place was because of all the in-state talent filling the NFL rosters. Even if Alabama was as fertile of a recruiting ground as Louisiana is, he'd still be competing with the Barners for all that talent. Not to slight his coaching abilities, but would he have been as successful here had he not been able to keep so many of the homegrown guys from going other places? Total control of the program and being the only game in town (state) are two luxiries that he had here that he would never have at Alabama. Just something to think about.
Where have you been? I think I speak for more than just myself when I say: "Please go back!" Jeez! Lsutiga makes VERY good points but you, sir, are starting to get annoying rather quickly. Funny, because I remember you being a really good poster in the past. :dis: We have enough with one Sabanfan here, we don't need any more bitterness. The poster that only had a few posts didmake a very good one. Why does that offend or upset you? He was not off-base in his criticisms of LSU "fans." In fact, I'm glad that he realizes that there are A LOT of LSU "fans" out there that need to get their heads out of their a$$es. His comment on the Heisman winners was very much true. Why are you letting this guy get under your skin? I hate to stir the pot, but damn... :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:
Alabama fans need to realize that they are yesterday's news. They will never again be what they once were. Als, the religion comment by Nutriaiitch isn't funny. There are some things you should not joke about.
