When you have to go around telling people you're about these things, you're usually not. Not to label Saban as a complete wash as far as those characteristics go cause he's not. but for him to have to tell us this means he's bothered by it.
Exactly why I couldn't watch the filth. I turned it off when he said that he wasn't even thinking about the Bama job when he outright denied that he would take it. He said that he was focused on the team (Dolphins) and helping those guys 'achieve success' as best he could. Well, if Terry's information is acccurate, and Sexton/Saban contacted Bama about the opening during the CFB season, then he is outright lying again. Dig your hole deeper, Nick. Keep on digging, boy. We'll be sure to help throw that dirt in once you've gotten in over your head.
From the look of it , it seems that Saban hired TO's PR manager. She is doing wonders for his reputation.:hihi:
You right, sounds like a Presidential add. You are right. I cant stand $aban at all or the person he is. Im sure deep down though he did miss the college game and found out the hard way the NFL wasnt for him. Too be honest I do believe it was more about missing college than the money. I still cant look past though the constant BS. I understand he couldnt focus on where or not he wanted the Bama job or not because he was in the season, so I understand the denials. Still in all, if he was fully committed, he would have tried to work out the Dolphins situation. Fact is he quit on them, had he had success, he wouldnt have left the Dolphins. Despite missing the college game he would have stayed because it would have looked better on his resume when his career is all said and done. No matter what I can respect $aban because to me him coming to Bama is a slap in the face to LSU.
"embarrassingly enthusiastic" fans are those from Alabama? This coming from a school who throws thrings at opposing teams and shakes their busses... I think we have an extremely supportive fan base, but one that supports with class. (with the exception of the bleached blonde thing that licked Saban after he got off the plane. She's been banished from our fan base. :thumb: ) Saban spent 5 great years at LSU. He's spent 2 weeks in Tuscaloosa. OF COURSE LSU is in his heart. I'd expect that if Gene Stallings had left Bama and went to LSU in '96 that Bama would still very much be in his heart. That is, until he got invested into the LSU team, program, traditions, etc over several years after that. Then he'd become a Tiger. Same goes for Saban. He'll soon bleed Crimson, but it won't happen immediately, even if we are paying him 32 mil. (Although, if LSU paid me that kind of money I'd tatoo my face purple and gold tiger stripes)
