Nick has stated in previous seasons that he tries not to show too much of the offense in early games. Auburn will certainly see things on defense and offense that are new.
It will be very easy to tell if they were holding back next week. If they look like a totally different team then yep, if it's the same stuff nope. We won't have the opportunity to hold back next week.
Quick question: Since Saban has been installing his system down in LSU for the past 4 (?) years, how much "new" offense and defense is there to show? That is, how much does the playbook change year to year?
Not much. This game will not be won or lost because someone showed something new, it will be won with execution and talent. Saban has been playing a lot of young players the first couple of games which is cause to scale the play book back a little, but nothing we do should suprise AU.
