  1. Actually, he said everything that is going on at LSU is because of him AND talked about how we were winning with his recruits.
  2. I KNEW I had mispelled that...but, didn't want to take the time to do "dictionary.com."

    You know how it goes...

Terry thinking to himself: "I know that isn't right. It doesn't look right...I could google it...ah, screw it...it's just a darn message forum."
  3. Geez, don't you love this time of the season...while I'm not addicted to recruiting, I do find all these stories entertaining...
  4. I figured you did......I was just chittin witcha. No need for grammar police, most of the time it's typos anyway. :thumb:

I wasn't even sure why you called it that anyway.
  5. I thought you were making a "dig" at me. If I had a dollar for everytime I've used the word semantics on this site...Trump would let me date his daughter.
  6. Nah, I hadn't picked up on that but I don't read through threads- normally just the tail end of them to see what the current talk is. I'm an English major and the diction just screamed out at me.
  7. Here is some more news from our former POS coach Satan:

Former LSU football coach Nick Saban keeps recruiting Louisiana football players -- even ones who have announced they plan to play football for the Tigers. Saban, the new Alabama coach, made visits in the last week to two players who have made oral commitments to attend LSU. Family members of both players said Saban took credit for LSU's 22-4 record since he left, saying it was done with players he brought to Baton Rouge. LSU coach Les Miles dispatched assistant coaches Bo Pelini, Doug Mallory and Josh Henson to follow up both of Saban's visits.

I hope Bama doesnt win a game until he is fired!!!!!
  8. I've always thought it is very naive and simplistic to say someone wins because they had the prior coach's players. To me it is very much like claiming a driver wins a race because they borrowed someone else's car. Certainly it helps to arrive and find talent. But never forget, the arriving coach is implementing a new system, possibly introducing new assistants, and is having to achieve multiple goals with a team.

The coach must immediately re-orient the team and staff to his system and ways. Somewhat easier if everyone recognizes the prior leadership failed, but I think Miles had a more difficult road following Saban than Saban did Dinardo. Soon after taking the job recruiting starts immediately as well. New ties and contacts must be made fast, or talent drops. The team will often face a new way of playing the game, and good coach is expected to lead this transition without obvious pains.

As for Saban, he recognizes the struggle his hiring would introduce. The man is wasting no time. Do not be surprised by what does or says. He must bring down LSU for him to succeed, and his tactics serve as a direct acknowledgement of the threat our program represents. Progress must be made quickly for the 32 million dollar man. Don't expect him to fight for a flesh wound.
  9. That's a very short-sighted statement. Are you implying that LSU has to be down for Alabama to be successful? That makes as much sense as my saying, "Alabama has to be down for LSU to be successful."
