  1. Re: Bama Fans On LSU

I agree, I can't speak for everyone, but the thing that upsets ME, is all that bullsh** he said when he left, I love LSU, I'll always be a tiger, and now he's trying to take credit for all of LSU's winning since he left, but none of the Dolphins losing while he was there!! He's too good a coach not to, but to what degree, none of us know, everyone else isn't going to roll over for him. A large majority of bama fans have elavated him to Godlike (Bryant) status, he's going to catch hell as soon as he loses some games he shouldn't (and he will) or doesn't win the SEC every other year (he won't)
  2. Re: What an Arrogant SOB...Saban trying to get Jones to decommit

    RP comes to mind.
  3. Re: What an Arrogant SOB...Saban trying to get Jones to decommit

Or Damien Berry, a Miami commitment, and Lonnie Edwards, a Texas Tech commitment, who will be on the LSU campus this weekend.

    It happens all the time.
  4. Re: Bama Fans On LSU

I understand where you are coming from, and what you are thinking. But, I think your thought process is a little mis-construed.

One, he hasn't been elevated to Bryant status. Granted, the fan base has been this united since the hiring of Bryant back in 1958. The fan base knew that we had hired a successful, proven head coach. You won't find people looking to resurrect Coach Bryant, we want someone that can resurrect the program. What, pray tell, is wrong with that?

As far as expectations are concerned...

    I'll quote Coach Stallings here...

"The expectation level is high at the University of Alabama and it should be. What's wrong with people expecting excellence?"

By no means do we expect to win the SECC every year. Compete for it? Most definitely. The NC? Compete for it, yes. Win it every year? No.

Of all the Alabama fans I've spoken with, not a single one has expected to win the SECC next season. In fact, most have said "I'm looking for 8-4, 9-3...with a lucky break here and there, 10-2." History, if you look at Saban's record in college ball, his first season taking over at HC he's improved the record by 3 W's.

I asked Deceks7 the other day, via email, "If Saban were the coach last year, what do you think our record would have been?" His response, "8-4, 9-3."

That's how I feel also. With a solid coach on the sidelines, anyone who looks at this realistically knows that the SEC has just moved up a step. And, it's going to be even a harder task to win the SECW than it ever has been.

Hey, we all reap the benefits as fans...it means the football season is going to be that much better!!
  5. Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it!

You dont care? LMAO looks like you care about Chadd Scott more than any person on this board. The reason you care is because what he says is true about MOST alabama fans. You can see what he means by the emails from a sampling of rednecks that were nice enough to show their true colors. By the way you guys have losers like that working at healthsouth?
    Thanks SEC brother.
  6. Re: Bama Fans On LSU

I think Proud Tiger is a good woman.

And as far as what some folks say on a Bammer board, you must remember . . . for every reasonble, serious Alabama and LSU fan on the Internet, There are three teenage nimrods hiding behind their keyboards that are only interested in smack talk and perpetuating the myths.

    They can be safely ignored.
  7. Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it!

And just what would give you that impression? The first time I ever heard of him was when I followed to the link to his eloquent blog. I learned then that he produces the show for Colin Cowherd, whom I've never listened to. From some of the comments, Cowherd's show is apparently on ESPN radio, which I've never listened to. I don't even know a station here that carries ESPN radio. So when I say I don't care, I mean I really don't care. I've noticed that you're not like a lot of the main LSU posters in that they can point out something negative about Bama or another school without sounding like a basher. I see that a lot from Auburn fans but most LSU fans are friendly and good to interact with.

As for HealthSouth, I don't have a clue. Never been to HealthSouth. And....guess what! You got it, I don't care about HealthSouth either. :dis:
  8. Re: Bama Fans On LSU

    Bammers are a special breed.
I met a woman years ago who was a diehard Bama fan. She even knew the Bear... said they had a thing... and he once bought her a string bikini... when he died, she promised herself she'd wear it "til the day she died".

I saw her again recently. She's been true to her word.
  9. Re: What Saban Doesnt Understand!!!

Have you overlooked the powerhouse that is Texas A&M? :hihi:
