Fair enough but how will you spin that '98 win over #1 ranked Ohio State that finished 11-1 and was the Big 10 co-champs? The question was did Nick Saban have any quality wins at Mich St and I supplied the info. The answer is yes.

    Also from the list:
    1999 Penn St. finished 9-3
    1999 Michigan finished 10-2
The point was this was Michigan St. had reached their highest ranking since 1966.

I'll admit that Saban is discussed around here more than probably should be, but I have never seen anyone start a thread on the ole Bear. Nobody but Bama fans care about him. You guys go as far as to get full body tatts of the man and continue to wear his hat 1000 years after his death.

Now tygrr.............you have seen the pics of the nut with the tat on the internet and you try to make seem as if all Bama fans are sporting said tattoo.

The hat in question IS the original HAT not a ball cap and is so cool that many LSU students paid homage at BDS this year by wearing said hat (not ball cap) with a minor color tweak.

Paying homage or mocking Bama fans? I guess it's perspective.

You are quick to judge John. I am actually a student at LSU, I went to three games this year so I know what it's like here. I just transferred here this fall and haven't gotten around to changing my location. There is not a lot of Miles bashing actually. If you had been on campus at all you would see tons of different Les Miles T-shirts. I've seen 5+ difference Les Miles shirts and all were supporting him. The students and most real fans support Miles....big time. I don't know where you're at if you're hearing all this Miles bashing...

I just read the location you had listed on your profile, which said Ohio. You can't blame me for assuming you live in Ohio when that's where you claimed as your location. To do so makes you seem like a fool. Now you have updated your location to include Baton Rouge.

I'm not surprised that you haven't heard any Miles bashing from your fellow students. I could never imagine that happening.

I'm talking about adults, not kids currently at LSU (who are a small fraction of the overall LSU fan base). Do you ever tune into the LSU football radio shows that take calls from LSU fans? I used to do that even back when I was an LSU student. Listen to those radio shows, you'll start hearing a lot of the "Miles is an idiot, Saban is God crap" from adult Tiger fans.

Well I have stated many times before that I am a student at LSU, but maybe that was before you joined. I did see that you are also on Buckeye Planet too, try rereading the "introduce yourself" thread where you apparently posted right after me. I'll help you out

Maybe you don't read the last post in the thread so I don't know...

But anyways, no I don't listen to any of the talk shows, but you should know that the callers that call in many times are not very intelligent and are looking to start some controversy. I have been on this board for the last 3 years and the usual Miles Basher's are just one and gone posters. Most people support Miles because he has such great character and cares about his team so much. So I would have to respectfully disagree about Miles bashing being rampant now. Nick Saban hasn't done much the past 3 years to merit a "Saban would have done it this way" statement because as we all know Miles is winning more than Saban did with Saban's own recruited players.

That's why I posted the black and white facts above in this thread that clearly show how great Miles is, I figured Miles supporters would love it.
