Good point. I am sure the hundreds of pages of notes he left about his team to Miles suggested to run the wing t.
This may have been a bit harsh. I should've said that seeing the program suffer without him plays into his ego. It's not necessarily that he wants to see the program suffer so much as part of him feels good about it.
Doesnt matter how many pages it was, the fact that Saban had hand written notes ready for the next coach would suggest he wouldnt want the program to fail. And as much time as any coach puts into a place it would be hard for me to believe anyone would want a place that he enjoyed being at to end up failing.
I think this is more of a fans feeling, like most hoping Bama fails. You can watch the video where he tells Flynn to go win it all after Bama loses to LSU.
I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying Alabama fans want to see LSU fail without him, but that Saban doesn't? He also was quoted, while head coach of the dolphins, as saying he watches our games when he can & pulls for us. That's why I rephrased it. Part of him wants to believe a program needs him to be successful, but that doesn't mean that he wants them to fail.
I was saying that I think a lot of fans think Saban wants us to lose because a lot of fans want Alabama to lose, mainly because of Saban. But I think it is more of the fans thinking this, not Saban. In other words, the hatred is not mutual, even though some would like for it to be.
That's not what I was trying to say. I certainly don't think Saban hates us, nor do I think any other fans think that. I think he'd love to be back at LSU. Personally, I want to see Alabama lose every week not because I hate Saban, but because it plays into LSU fans' (including myself) egos. It just assures us that LSU made Saban as opposed to the other way around.
You guys discuss our coach more than we do.......................same for our legendary non-living coach. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts.
