You have taken care of less than one percent of the deficit. What else you got?

To make serious cuts you have to go where the money is being spent; entitlements and defense. Everything else is chump change. Start with the “The National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (Bowles-Simpson) and commit to all 5 steps. A lot of people on both sides hate it so it must be pretty good.

Most importantly you have to increase employment to increase tax revenue. The quickest best way to do that is to encourage the corporations to start using the billions of dollars of cash they are sitting on to create jobs. The best way to get them to do that is to give them a stable fertile business environment so they are reasonably sure they can make a return on their investment. TRANSLATION – Get the frigging buzz killing bureaucrats out of the way and let businesses do business. And stop doing mindlessly stupid things like the Boeing fiasco. I mean that one is just dumber than baby chit.

Other ideas I’ve heard that sound like a good place to start
    1. Give a tax break to a business for hiring anyone that’s been on unemployment for more than 6 months. The tax break is good for as long as they have been unemployed. If someone has been on unemployment for 14 months you get up to 14 months of tax breaks if you keep them employed that long. After 6 months if you haven’t given a business a good reason to keep you then you probably need to apply for a public sector union card
    2. If a business brings back overseas money and invests it in a business enterprise that adds to employment then they get a tax break.
    3. OBAMA - EXECUTE THE TRADE AGREEMENTS. You're suppose to bend over backwards to create jobs; not bend over frontwards for big labor.
    4. How about an energy policy that allows us to use our own oil and gas. What a concept? How many jobs can be had there?

Everything above, except possibly #4, can be done almost immediately. 1 and 2 could have enough immediate positive results in employment that Obama could get reelected. No plan is perfect.

I get a little tired of the "use American oil & gas" positions people take. That's just not how it works. Drilling doesn't affect gas availability and prices when you have a free market that allows oil companies to withhold production to increase demand and profits. You can open up drilling all you like, but the American oil companies simply aren't going to sell it. That's not how they make money. They're going to drill it and sit on it to drive up demand (profits) like they did for 7 years under GWBush.

Unless you're talking about forcing the oil companies to sell it. Then you're really stepping off in a big pile of it.

    Welcome to the Free Market.

Supply and demand. Open drilling across the country as well as new refineries and supply increases. Of course this takes a long time but every day that the extremists on the left block drilling is one more day of this.

Speaking of a big pile of it, I can see you've been feeding on a 'donkey patty'. It is a free market, which is why independent producer's prices are close to the big guys. Wait, I see a vision of the topic of your next post - CONSPIRACY. Yes the trilateral commission is at work again.

F/Y/I big oil accounts for only about 15 to 20% of the world’s oil production. Sitting on 1/5 of anything does not control the market.

Regardless, I wasn't talking about the price of gasoline, I was talking about putting people to work.

this implies that they have stopped under obama? or are you just saying that for no reason?

perhaps oil companies should sell you oil at prices you decide. you need lots of oil if you are gonna destroy the planet.

You are easily frightened and seem to understand nothing about the Constitution.

    Your ignorance is appalling.

Don't try to think, it just makes your comments more inane.

Lobbyists interfere with the relationship between a representative and his constituents. It's obvious.

Show me where lobbyists have a rightful place in the government. You can't. They aren't in the Constitution.

You want special interests to direct the government instead of We The People.
