That's pretty good. He's had his incidents.. but they've been minor. Those are the ones that are easy to fix.

I don't care if he was there after 2am. It is not a crime to be somewhere after 2am. If there was no curfew that night why would CLM give a damn about 2am?

CLM could use that "rationale", but I'd be surprised if he did, as he'd have to kick off or suspend other football players who also "lack the maturity to lead the team" as they were also there after the close at 2 a.m.

Well, if he's not at fault here then great. I personally never said he should be kicked, but I did say it's harder and harder to assume his innocense each time his name gets brought up.That said, I haven't seen anyone ask the following question (at the risk of being flamed)...

If RP had a spotless record before this incident, would he have been as quickly criticized as he was?

As I said in my previous post, I hope to see him be a huge success. If he does in fact realize that his career could be in danger by even being around these types of incidents (because people are quick to judge due to past performance) then great. I hope to see him prove it both on and off the field. But objectively speaking it's hard to ignore when he gets mentioned in somethnig since his name has popped up in various situations so many times... Such is the price of being a top-rated program. Everyone's watchin and waiting for the opportunity to tear you down.

Anyway, it's good to know that things weren't as bad as they seemed. Also it's good to see Odom will likely be gone.. he's been damaged goods from the start.

Agreed. But the others haven't been suspended in the past and under the same microscope of scrutiny he is. Do we really know what terms CLM established for future trouble he may get himself into and what those consequences may be? It could be something as simple as the perception of poor judment is enough to get him thrown off the team. You know that whatever those terms are, they're well established and clearly defined.

I didn't bash him, I stated the truth according to what I've read.
There is no story yet, I checked the link.
Just because he was cleared doesn't mean he did or didn't refuse to leave the club.

All LSU fans should be troubled by his behavior the last few years.
I really hope he has finally learned his lesson but like others I doubt it!
I hope this doesn't come back to haunt us once again!

This isn't about any other player on the team other than RP and what consequences may be derived as a direct result of his behavior. Again, I'm sure he has a clearly defined agreement with CLM on consequences of future behavior. SOP for any leader.

I think this is the "end" of things now, however, I have a "gut" feeling that after this seasons over coach will be calling a press conference to explain that RP will not be wearing purple and gold next year. Which means for him, that he,ll try to "fast track" into the NFL.

Worse, they also spread the rumors over Bama forums. That's where I first saw the rumor, late Friday morning, and one of the reasons I was initially sceptical (didn't believe anything at all happened until I saw stuff here later that day and more stuff on Saturday).

Maybe some of the wilder rumors were halfway true, maybe they were made up of whole cloth. Maybe more happened but can't be proven, maybe some bouncers that got fired for beating up customers outside of their bar and exaggerated the story. RP and DO certainly have done stuff to make themselves easyt targets. Whatever happened, I don't think we'll ever know the true story. The nosy part of me really wants to see that video tape.
