Miles made the statement in his recent press conference that it's about a promise I made on a mother's couch.
I think RP is getting every opportunity to reform because Miles wants to do all he can because he made a commitment.
    It's up to RP.

He had two chances with at least two first round draft choices at WR. What is there to make you believe he would have done better with two first year starters and an injured Doucet.
That is like saying that we would have won three national championships if Flynn had been the starter. Both statements are ridiculous.

Well, that's your opinion. I'm not frustrated. Guess I'm either retarded or just trust the coaches to make the right decisions. Or perhaps just retarded for trusting the coaches.

No. But that doesn't mean that there shouldn't have been players suspended more than they were. Kevin Faulk is a pot head. Go figure. Must have started that recently.

Perhaps mosts coaches wouldn't have suspended RP for missing those classes and the meeting. My guess is that we wouldn't even know about it if the coaches had it their way.

Maybe you would be, but I don't throw stones. Maybe in jest, but those I throw them at know I'm kidding. I'm not saying that RP is an angel. I'm only saying that some things are getting a little more hype than they should.

There are other issues with the guy. Miles has not kicked him off the team for good because there is not enough proof that a law was broken. In other words no one has come forth and ratted the guy out. He's suspended because he could flunk out of school due to the classes he's missed. Miles is waiting until he knows RP will make it grade wise before his ruling becomes final.

This all seems to be getting out of hand, and over something that WE as a group don't even know what we think we know. My only concern is that whatever decision CLM makes does not end up hurting the team. I think he has proven that he will not make such decisions and I will leave it at that. It doesn't really matter what I want or think should happen. I will support my Tigers.

He was busted in his car while at LSU with pot in the car but charges were dropped because his friend who was in the car with him stepped up and took responsibility for the possession.

That's really all we can do as fans. Let's hope that Les is making the right decision for the team. That includes how this will affect the other players on the team (is there a double standard as for as discipline?), will this cause discension, or will this have no affect on the team as a whole? That's why he's paid the big bucks. To make these type decisions without adversely affectig the program.
All this being said, I don't konw if he's still on the team if I'm the coach.

I remember that incident. I also remember numerous incidents that were covered up back in the 70's when pot was big. The guys on the team were driving Charlie Mac nuts. And back then the general public was a lot less forgiving of drug possession. I guess the difference was the press worked with LSU back then and didn't report every little incident.

As it would be if RP sustained an injury. We would be discussing whether or not he would heal by Sept, who's gonna start if he isn't, etc. That is what happens to any team when there are issues with a starting QB, particularly one that has all the potential he has.

You guys act like this is some personal attack on RP, but it isn't. It would be the same conversation if it happened to Flynn or JR. We live in a 24/7 news cycle and we're not suppose to talk about it and give our opinions? What exactly do we talk about during this time of the year?
