No I don't agree that he should be held to a higher standard... I just agree that he is held, by a lot to a higher standard.

yes KT....I agree....like i said earlier in my post..........right or wrong.I don't know but he will be held to a higher standard. All i'm saying is where is his common sense.....I will screw up and get into trouble once. and giving RP the benefit of doubt....I'll may screw up the second time. But I can only take so much punishment before i realize........HEY I BETTER NOT SCREW UP AGAIN. So how many chances does RP need. I guess I'd give him 7 more if we can win another BCS:crystal:

I have to agree that race is an issue here. I want to know who really won that race between Byrd and the 10 speed. I find it very suspect that the camera was not on the finish line.

By the way, last time I checked, there is a big difference between suspending a player for missing meetings/classes and kicking a player off the team for a felony. Relax people.

There is a difference between a kid being kid, and a serious screw up. That is a double edge sword though. Do you keep a kid around that may or may not act a fool and tarnish LSU's rep right now... or do you keep giving him chances hoping he will figure it out? In my opinion, nothing he has done is serious enough for me to think about 86ing him... but depending on the next time, I may have to seriously thinking about hedging my bets...

Yep - two questions here.

What's best for RP?

What's best for the team?

Tough balancing act. At some point, a kid who's not following team rules but keeps getting a pass because of his potential becomes a liability to team morale and a distraction. I have to believe that RP is approaching that point of diminishing returns, regardless of what's best for him personally.

Only CLM gets to make that call.
