Actually I was in AFROTC at LSU and a pilot candidate in 1975. Unfortunately I was caught in the end of the Vietnam war RIF.....much to my regret. Of course you had to fall back on the old trope of equating service with patriotism when you have nothing else to offer. Truly the resort of a coward
