By definition that is what presidential advisors are supposed to do - guide the president to make good decisions. But you don't go write and Op-ed telling everyone about it
It was a betrayal for sure but Trump has had leakers in the White House since day one. Woodward's book and this op ed tell they story why this is so. He is unhinged and needs to be protected from his rash decisions while at the same time laying down new strategies and policies that have benefited the nation. Blame the messenger but hear the message.
