Plea bargains are quid pro quo and each side is trying to play with a poker face. Prosecutors will throw in a bunch of bullshit and jail time or extended jail time as each charge has to be addressed/adjudicated in order to get what they believe is something more valuable. Mueller thinks Cohen knows something more so they bring in a tank when a small-fire weapon is ample. If all Cohen's plea resulted in was that Trump used his own money to pay off a hooker, then BFD. So yes, agree to a plea to reduce attorney fees, avoid jail time, get back to your life.
Hell yes - I would take Trump over HRC any day of the week. The gov't is railroading citizens because they want to get the President. No that is not good gov't - that's corruption. And yes I am quite happy with the economy, tax cuts, the hostages that have been freed and all the other things Trump has accomplished. Do I like his twitter rants - no and I wish he would stop acting like a petulant child but he's getting the damned job done and yea, I am happy about that.

No one disputes the fact that Mueller is a republican (probably a RINO). But being a Republican does not preclude the fact that he is going after things NOT involved with Russian collusion and appears to be going after the President any way he can. He's granting immunity for all kinds of things not related to Russian collusion. There are many republicans who hate trump - one just died yesterday. He certainly was a dedicated servant.
