Many countries (all with the capability), including us, try to influence foreign elections and policy. This is nothing new. This is all about shitting on Trump. I'd love an intelligent, rational discussion on ways new technologies are being used to influence elections / policy and how we can better protect and 'leverage' this. Of course we'll never be privy to the cutting edge tech. But it's not about this, it's about shitting on Trump and promoting that he's compromised, colluded, controlled, communistized by Putin and the Gang because the MSM, Never Trumpers, and the Deep State will never accept Trump as President. Never. Never, ever, ever, ever.

Y'all have been busy on this thread. I was not able to see or hear anything about the Trump-Putin meeting until this morning. Not sure exactly why Trump wasn't more forceful and disagree with him that he wasn't. Like someone said, he shot himself in the foot on this one. I do believe Russia meddled in the election, I don't believe that it had any effect other than to pit Republicans against Democrats and vice versa to create chaos in the country. Victory Putin. As for Trump not sanctioning Russia over Georgia, Crimea, etc. It didn't happen on his watch so that was Obama's responsibility. Even the election meddling happened on Obama's watch which he knew about, and he should have done something. However, I do think Trump should do more regarding this as we keep learning more. I do understand Trump's "keep your friends close and enemies closer" philosophy here in terms of creating dialogue with Putin, but I do want to see him more forceful with them. We need to keep the lines of communication open with them so we can keep an eye on them. NATO needed a shakeup. They do need to provide for more of their own defense. I have no problem with Trump doing this. I am sure there was more discussed on the 16 pages I had to read to catch up on, but cant remember it all. lol
I disagree 100%. I don't see a point in throwing the kind of shade everyone wants over Facebook bots. What has been releases is comical to the level of which the NSA, CIA, and FBI conduct on a regular basis. If anything, it was a proper wake-up call for the DNC to not ignore COMSEC. However, that just went right over everyone's head... I mean for fucks sake, CNN and DNC rigged the primaries away from ONE OF THEIR OWN and we have the nerve to "Russia".
See this is it right here, right in front of their own eyes they had the most important primary of their lives stolen away from them. This is not in dispute, even the crooked left media has reluctantly admitted it. Yet instead of being outraged at their own (because things didn't shake out the way they wanted) they spin up over something that happened while their sacred lamb was in power. It is impossible to follow the logic.
