They were based knowledge and experience.....he was governor of California for 8 years. He was serious about his principles and his philosophy. Trump did nothing like that. I don't think you are thinking critically either. Look at what Trump has done. He got hostages freed from NK and a few other places. He was accused of buddying up to little rocket man but then HE cancels it - from a position of strength., not weakness. He got the tax cut thru and people are more confident, spending more and the unemployment rate is down. Every president makes mistakes as they go along. Some make them the whole time in office. Results that affect the American people are why he is popular, not because he tweets or whatever.
