What's the big deal. The Russians, Chinese and everybody else is trying to hack every server in the USA they think might have info of interest to them. And we know it. And we a doing the same to them. And they know it. We are constantly engaged in a 24/7/365 Cyberwar. And all the players know it.

Of course it is. Until Trump takes office and starts instituting policy we have no idea of what he'll really do.

Obama says he told Putin to stop the hacking. I'm sure Putin was quaking in his boots.

Are you surprised? Not like it's going to matter anyway. There could be video evidence of Putin and Trump having gay sex with an underage boy and this board would claim it was made up or a liberal conspiracy.

I was on my phone last night and I guess I missed several of your posts some how. Regardless, I agree that Obama went to far to get his Iran deal but I think the trend was set with Obama attempting a "reset" with Russia rather than taking a more cautious approach.

Absolutely and this is all I am asking for. I agree that it would most definitely be in Trump's best interest to get this behind him. There are people like me who didn't vote for him that are willing to give him a chance because I want what is best for the country but by refusing the intelligence and NOT making a public statement condemning the hacks and assuring the public that his administration will get to the bottom of it regardless. Thing is, Trump is so insecure that I personally think he worries that it will invalidate the election, which just isn't true because there was no actual hacking of our voting process.

The Russian hacks did not minimize Hillary's lack of campaigning in the rust belt. Nor did they make Hillary put classified material on an unsecured server. Nor did it prevent her from taking contributions from countries and then meeting with their reps, nor did they create and perpetuate the Clinton Foundation, nor did they cozy her up to Wall Street, while talking a different story, nor did the make her adopt a campaign based on division. Nor did they scheme with the DNC to de-rail Bernie Sanders.

Hillary was a flawed candidate, run by the "elite" DNC machine. I honestly believe ANY VIABLE democrat could have whupped Trump, but again, as is so often the case, hubris resulted in her demise.

I am actually pretty liberal and would love for the Democratic Party to embrace the working person whether black, white, yellow or brown. The politics of division is not a winning strategy. Regardless of the party adopting it.

But, blaming everything in the universe for her defeat and not understanding that Hillary Clinton is responsible for her defeat, is not the way to move forward.

Either I wasn't clear enough about this or you misinterepreted my statement on this but I don't think Trump would do this and even went as far as to say that I hope and pray he and his team had no involvement because it would put the country in a terrible position. What I did say was that IF there was any involvement or collusion it would be grounds for impeachment and imprisonment as it would be treasonous. We have laws, the same ones that, if she had been found guilty of colluding with another government as SOS, Clinton would have been subjected to. All of this said, Winston, and even you've acknowledged this to some degree, Trump isn't doing himself any favors nor is he giving too much reassurance to the American people by refusing to accept the intelligence findings and making a public statement about them. I think Obama's press conference yesterday gave Trump every benefit of the doubt and Trump should take the Olive branch and make a joint statement about the importance of election integrity.

I agree with much of what you've said here and I even share similar hopes about Trump. Frankly, I have been pleasantly pleased with how he's poked China by taking the call from the Taiwanese leader.....this has been needed. My concern, again, is he refusal to accept the intelligence and to speak publicly about it. Perhaps you are right that he is posturing but why? The election is over and no one, save a small group of Hamilton Elector left-wingers, are questioning the legitimacy of his Presidency. Obama has been very gracious with him imo, why not continue that by acknowledging the findings and working in concert with the President. To me, this makes him look much more Presidential.
