You took it totally out of context.
I SAID I wondered how you felt about Obama and his wife if I was divisive.
Then I stated facts once again and no response other than I'm divisive.

I don't think you are open minded matter of fact you have dodged most of my questions and facts and have only stated your opinions.
You are right, we aren't getting anywhere, enough said.
I don't wish to continue talking to someone who spins everything I say.

Maybe I just can't follow your line of thinking. Geaux USA and geaux Tigers. We should probably take this conversation to private message... we are way off topic.

An astute observation not spoken about in the press enough. If you go back to the 60's, they could fight on the floor, but the senators were all personal friends and went to the same Christmas parties and such. They probably played poker together. Russell Long, Everett Dirkson, LBJ. I think they put the country first, and weren't opposed to making a good living off the scraps that fell to the floor. Too many putting the lobbiest first, corp. CEOs second, themselves third, the country doesn't seem to get much consideration.

The partisanship seemed to intensify under Gingrich, when the repubs got control of congress for the first time in 30 years then reach a crescendo under Tom DeLay. They started ramming stuff down the dems throats, and it has not been a pretty scene since.

Getting this thread back on topic, Russia announces it recognizes the independence of the two breakaway provinces. They continue to maintain a buffer zone inside Georgia proper and appear to be consolidating their hold. They aren't leaving anytime soon, as they say their interpretation of the cease fire agreement allows them to stay on Georgian territory.

Oh, and the land mine that blew up that Georgian fuel train was a nice touch, too.

So you still don't trust them?
I was hoping I could call them Russians again instead of Soviets!
    Darn!

I heard the ruskie stock market dropped 20% today, and it was closed before the session ended. That;s that economic warfare I was talking about.

The nation has to have enough people with enough money to lose for it to work.

Being part of that global economy has its up's, but it can be a b!tch sometime. :)
