If you watch his tapes, you'll see that is definitely the case. There are very few highlights of him throwing the ball. Considering his running ability & having a 4 star RB in the backfield with him, even a poor passer should have better stats than him. That's why I'm not sure we will really go hard after him if he's set on getting a chance at QB.
If Russell Shepard is a runner & A.J. McCarron being in Alabama (Saban's Yard), who else is LSU looking at... Tate Forcier from California or Morgan Newton of Indiana? Actually, Just how many Quarterbacks have we Offered? Two according to Scout?
I don't know who LSU has specifically recruited but Tom Savage, AJ Karam, Shavodrick Beaver are all QBs who have some degree of interest in LSU as well.
Russell Shepard is visiting this weekend in Baton Rouge...probably along with Hasan Lipscomb his best Freind. And he'll be visiting his Girl friend also...I hope he has a outstanding visit.
I was gonna make an inappropriate comment about him getting some action on his recruiting trip and this being good for us but I couldn't figure out the wording the way I wanted it so just pretend that it was funny.

Apparently, RS almost committed today....he was very impressed and says we are his clear favorite. He goes on to say we want him at QB....dunno
Supposedly he spent a lot of time with Crowton going over what we could do on offense with him at QB.
I'm waiting to see how some of you react if he actually DOES commit. Seems a few of you think he's not all that...but when/if he commits, I bet ya'll will be all excited about a 5* commit.:lol:
