The best thing for him Is to stop crying , man up, work harder , and be ready for the new Starter who can run , think ,and pass at the same time . The new starter , will be able to handle a lot of plays , will be able to make the option work. Something we have not seen in the last 5 games . so I will tweet back , OMG!!!!The best thing to do is man up and be ready .
I feel the coach's manical attachment to JJ has harmed Shepherd as much as Lee. I think it would be in his best interest, following spring ball, to then re-evaluate
I agree .. but also disagree. I agree, Lee could not have made any difference at all with the game plan and the play calling that Miles employed in both the first and second games. I disagree, .. because I think Lee's quick release could have made a profound difference in a game plan similar to what Bama played, with quick TE outs and other short, quick release routes that would have nuetralized the rush, but gained 5-10 yards. No mistake ... Miles lost the game. Lee couldn't have saved it. But playing JJ limits you to the style of game that Miles planned .. and we all see what the result was. A game plan like Bama's with Lee at the helm would have opened up the run game more. JJ himself could have been more effective in a change of pace role using such a game plan. Moreover ... back to the title ... Sheppard could have shined in such a game plan. His quickness and ability to gain yards after the catch could have been a significant factor. But alas .. it was not to happen.
I think he could have demonstrated what running for your life looks like against Hightower a lot better than Jefferson. However, IMO.
Coach Miles Has a HUGE job and responsibility here, and needs to be taken care of ASAP!! Miles needs to sit down with his team, appologize for his gameplan and preperation leading into the biggest game of his life, and get his own locker room back in order, he needs to get all his kids back on his side and to buy into his system of playing multiple people for the best of the team. if he does not do that, the powerhouse that has recently been built could slowly start to fade off.
How many times in the past how folks worried that Miles was "losing the locker room"? That's simply not been the case, and I'm sure it's not the case now, either.
Your right....but this is the first time I ever heard players talking about leaving too. He's gotta right the ship ...quickly...and move on. I'm pretty confident he WILL do that.
