4 years and people still think Sheppard has been hiding his breakout skills in the closet.

Almost amazing as thinking Miles will be fired.

Sure, he COULD'VE but I'm just not ready to complain that he didn't.

Nah, Miles has a track record of being a dick. Look where J. Lee stayed last year even as bad as his counterpart was playing.

What happened to the blind loyalty that players like JJ, Josh Downs, and Lyle Hitt got?

Oh my, a pick between JJ and Lee. The madness.

quote: Ken Fryer ?@kenfryer @RandyRosetta Any word on why Shepard didn't play?

Expand Randy Rosetta ?@RandyRosetta @kenfryer Yeah, but can't say here. There was good reason.

I think Shep could have been used more and in various ways. I do think he should have had more opportunities before this year. This year, not so much because of the talent at RB. I do think he could have been an excellent return man if anything. Overall though a great kid. Best of luck.

He could have neen the next Barry Sanders and this staff wouldnt have a clue what to do with him.

Where are you getting your drugs man? Let me know cause I could use me some. Shep is a good kid and was a great team member. He may have not been used as he should have and could have contributed more but that is debatable.

Comparing him to Barry Sanders is more than a bridge too far. Sanders was a jitter bug who could cut so hard he broke defenders' ankles. He had great balance and power and his run after contact numbers were out of sight. Barry was solidly built and could take the pounding a running back gets.

Shep is a straight line runner who went down at a touch. He was not shifty in the least and if he couldn't out run you he was toast. He has a small frame that could have never stood up between tackles (where Sanders made many of his yards)

Some have speculated he would have been better DB but who knows. Get over the idea he was the second coming. Shep was great in HS because of his speed and the O he played in. It didn't translate to college as he doesn't have the other tools required.
