    ....

I do believe we have spent the summer discussing this FR. qb thing. We haven't been able to discuss either one of them to the top of the depth chart yet.

It's much too early to tell. Both seem to be looking good thus far. It maybe next year for them.

I hear Flynn hits all the short and medium passes and is moble, and they say that the farther JaMarcus throws the ball down field the better his passes are. I look for them to become well rounded and fine tune their skills this year......But i like Mauck and hope he does well enough to hold on to his position till he leaves LSU.

    Mauck

Lets hope that we only get to see a few moments of either one this year in some mop up duty and that Mauck stays healthy.

A healthy Mauck will mean we will have a good QB battle for the next few years.

Its tough when you got so much talent!:) :) :)

Flynn's father was a QB at Baylor and one of the reasons Matt is as polished as he is.

    quarterbacks

I hope mauck passing skill has improved because last year both of the quarterback had a less than 50% completion ratio and this team has some tremendous receiver, and I am hoping we can come up with a QB that can get them the ball.

    Re: quarterbacks

Matt Mauck progressed each game last year until his injury and it appears he will be a 50 - 55% completion ratio QB. He will get arm strength by throwing the ball and I hope he threw a lot during the summer.

If Russell is as good as they say, he could take over the starting role by the Georgia game. I don't think he will; however, it is hard to say. I think he and Flynn are red shirted this year and the freshman is Lester Richard who plays. I've never seen his game; therefore, I don't know if he play.

    M. Randall needs to become a safety, as I don't see him as a QB. He can't read a defense and we have receivers.

    Re: Re: quarterbacks

Even if Russel is as good as the hype says, QB is too critical of a position to be taken over that soon. A freshman WR or RB could deffinatly be a huge contributor but I just think there is a lot to playing QB at the level of the SEC.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Herb Tyler took over as a true freshman and the team had a good year,

yeah, you're right. Saban doesn't know what the hell he is doing playing Randall at QB, what a moron! I hope Saban is fired soon so you can take over the coaching vacancy.
