Wrong. I've listened to your arguments with an open mind and refuted every one of them.

You conveniently forgot to add that 1 of them was pass that should have been caught. I guess the SEC is just focusing on the fact that he atoned for his mistakes by leading his team to a win against a top 10 conference rival on the road; which is what the rest of you should be doing. Nothing like focusing on the negative, but if that's how you like to live, then more power to you. Just doesn't sound like much fun to me; but 'fun' is relative, I guess.

All I'm saying is that the man doesn't deserve the relentless (<< key word) criticism he's been getting this week.

Taking off the purple and gold glasses off a minute, Darren McFadden got hosed. 219 yards and 2 TDs is pretty impressive.

Maybe he did, but I'm not the one who decides these things. I'm just stating facts.

Thats what I mean by sports forum posters having a short attention span.

Personally I think either of our 3 quarterbacks could win with the team we put on the field.

The problem I have and have always had with JR is his inability to learn the finer points of the game. No matter how many games he wins thats not gonna change my opinion. The only thing that will change my opinion is when he shows on a consitent level that he is learning how to play the game like a great QB should.

Even if Russell was to lead us to a National Championship, if he doesnt impove his gameplay then my opinion will not change.

Here is a poll for you, if Russell was not playing for LSU say he was playing for Tulane do you still think he would be a great quarterback? I serious doubt it. Thats what makes a quaterback great.

Who is arguing, I am just stating my opinion, y'all seem to be the ones unable to handle someone with a different opinion.

I have criticized him since last year. And have not flip floped my stance yet.

Well I guess we will never know for sure but I still think JR could be a great QB for Tulane. He would have been the biggest recruit to ever got to Tulane. I am not saying he would be the greatest player to play for Tulame but talent wise out of HS.

JP Lossman had a great career there so why couldnt JR.

Agreed. Yeah, Russell may have won three times, but I doubt the other two were against AU and UF. If Russell wouldn't make SO MANY stupid mistakes, he would, by far, be the best QB in the country. And we would be undefeated as well. Im not entirely blaming JR for the 2 losses because the coaches and refs (AU and UT) did their share also.

I'd like to see a QB be error-free when he has to play 3 of the top 10 defenses in the nation on the road...

I'm not denying that JaMarcus makes mistakes - he certainly does, but I think they are over-exaggerated by some LSU fans because they have such high expectations for him & also because they think Flynn wouldn't make the same mistakes.

JR's mistakes so far this season that were his fault:
    1. A pick against some crappy team at home (can't remember which one - it was early in the season) where the CB jumped in front of the WR. The ball should have been placed further to the outside or not thrown to him. But it was at the very end of the half & made no difference to the outcome - so not a very big deal.

    2. Taking a sack at Auburn, forcing us to spike the next play to kill the clock - wasted very valuable time & a down. 3. Then throwing to Buster Davis before he got into the endzone and not in a position where he could make a play for the endzone.

    4. An interception in Florida's endzone, but I heard either his elbow or the ball was tipped...? Unsure about this one.

    5. The throw to our freshman TE near the end of half which was picked off & led to a fieldgoal for Tennessee & left us trailing at half. 6. A poorly gripped ball? I don't know how it happened but whatever that goofy throw was a pick 6 - not a mental mistake, but a mistake none the less.

Did I leave any out? I don't think so.

Exactly. That's their perrogative (sp?) I guess. I just don't understand why it's relevant when we win.
