This is no rumor, its actually true. Early has always wanted to give QB a shot since it was his position in HS. He realizes that if he doesn't get his chance this year, it may not happen ever. I'm surprised this information has become public knowlege. My brother-in-law coached him in HS and said Saban approached him afer the Bama game about taking a few snaps a game. Looks like things have progressed well and Early knows enough of he offense to at least take a shot. Early Doucet at QB, LSU's answer to "The Freak" Matt Jones. Who wouldda thunk it ?
Early Doucet played QB in HS but he sucked. Totally out of position. He's a great athlete but he's no SEC QB.
Were there any good line man out of Hahnville HS this year. I went to Boutte in 2001 and some of the guys down there were enormous.... I guess growing up on shrimp boats has its benefits.
