There is no reason to suspect that Les isn't loyal to both of his senior quarterbacks. But his job is to win LSU football games. He can do that better with two senior quarterbacks than one.
As long as one doesn't divide this team because he is not the star anymore. It only takes one......Byrd!
that's a vague answer you care to explain how you would use them since you support this theory? The first time I see JJ take over for an entire series in the middle of an important ball game and throws a pass directly into the ground, I think I will vomit.
The only way I vomit is if JJ transfer to Auburn and Gus Malzahn turns him into a national championship QB
It's a clear statement. Did you not read my last post? 1. Lee could get hurt or have a bad game. 2. Jefferson has legs and has always been better than Lee inside the red zone, where passes are short anyway. Jefferson in the game complicates a defensive coordinator's short yardage defense. You will vomit when you see Lee do the same thing. A time will come when Lee will throw an interception or two, fumble, or just miss a bunch of important passes. You will be screaming for Jefferson at that point.
Where is this myth coming from? We were 86% in the redzone last year, we're 95% in the redzone this year, the only reason we're not 100% is because of the RR dropped pass. If your theory is that JJ somehow helped us score more TD's in the redzone, that theory is wrong as well. Last year out of all our redzone scores 52% of them were TD's . This year out of all our redzone scores 80% of them have been TD's. A QB that can throw in the redzone is just plain better. Period. I'll never scream for JJ because I never thought he should have been the QB, because he's not a good one. Now if you move him to TE, then by all means put him on the field.
One that can run or pass is just plain better. In 2009, Jefferson finished second in the nation in red-zone passing efficiency.
Putting JJ back on the team at this time would be a bad decision. Red Shirt him, let him play another year, but do not do this. It would be both disruptive and divisive. Lee is playing fine. Mett appears adequate in relief. Now if down the road, Lee is injured, maybe that decision is changed, but bringing him back now, after what the team has done with Lee would be terrible.
Statistics prove you wrong yet again Red in regards to JJ. In 2009 we were 87% in the redzone and out all our redzone scores we scored a TD 60% of the time. JJ might be able to complete passes in the redzone but he can't complete passes TO THE ENDZONE. JL is just plain better in the redzone. You can't spin the statics.
