We also now start pulling from deeper in the rotation when switching players in and out We are now one injury away from a Freshman playing at Linebacker - ouch ! Now, i'll readily admit that sometimes that works out well, but usually.......
All of you pu$$ies complaining about injuries have obviously never played football. You know what gets people injured more than hitting? Not knowing how to hit. People who dont practice hitting tear up shoulders and knees from reach tackling, or break their necks cuz they havent practiced keeping their heads up...
its also true they would sustain less injuries if they quit practicing altogether and just gave each other handjobs in the whirlpool instead.
Someone will have a clever response for this one.
How about USC, those gay little men of Troy. I hear they get a discount on Trojans... Loco, I got one thing to say to you, Would you complain if we didn't have the season everyone expects us to have if injuries hurt us that much. I won't expect to hear you complain any during the season! :hihi:
Injuries hurt alot less than ill-prepared players... lets ask the guys not to lift weights either because they might pull muscles...
What a thread . Almost brings tears to your eyes. Kuale was an absolute animal for sixty minutes, and we hope he rehabs quickly. He'll take a medical redshirt year and play next year (Most likely). EJ was a senior (we got him out of JUCO) and a leader. He will be greatly missed. Without Kuale, Pelini has the following material to make his depth chart at Linebacker. You have 7 good linebackers to play three spots (including freshman Al Jones & Darry Beckwith). Al Jones redshirt this year :dis: Forget about it! Jones & Beckworth will play. Add in Luke Sanders (he's been a good backup player) & you have a solid mix between Sr & Fr/So in these positions. Seniors (3 left) Cam Vaughn, 6'4" 230 Sr, Ken Hollis, 6'0" 235 Sr, Jason Spadoni, 6’0” 210 Sr Sophs (3) Ali Highsmith, 6'1" 225 So, Luke Sanders, 6'4" 230 So, Dom Cooper, 6'4" 225 So RS Freshman & freshman (4) Quinn Johnson, 6'3" 230 RSF, Al Jones, 6'3" 240 FR, Darry Beckwith, 6’1” Fr 225, Harry Coleman, 6’3” 210 LSU HAS NO JR CLASS AT LB (UNLESS YOU NOW COUNT KUALE). LSU will need to develop the young players quickly with 3 seniors departing this year. When Kuale returns next year, he'll be the only senior LB (Think about that). That translates into this: The underclassmen are going to play often this year. Bucktown, you shudder at the thought! I say, bring it on! I'm confident in the talent remaining here at LB. LSU will need Quinn Johnson to step up and make some serious noise. He'll be the starter next year. Al Jones & Darry Beckwith will push for serious playing time early & they'll get it by God. I don't see anyone taking Ali Highsmith's job away from him. Sanders has been solid after rehab. in a backup role and seems destined for greater things. LSU will survive this year at LB if it loses no more of the starting seniors (Vaughn, Hollis) to injury. :geauxtige
