Argh, I was expecting big things from EJ this year. But I expect little to no drop off from Kuale to Ali Highsmith.

All these major injuries? You mean the two we've had? We've had 1 scrimmage with full contact, maybe two if today's was (MS says it was shorts/helmets). How do you expect a team to get game ready if you don't tackle more than one day? two days? Ridiculous...no one would be upset if it was 3rd teamer or a walk on, it's just an accident that it's AB and EJK - not an indictment of our coach before he's ever coached a game.

We've been very fortunate in the past but now the injury bug is biting us on the a$$. Damn it, my expectation are suddenly starting to fall.

You cannot blame this on the coach. $hit happens and there is nothing Les can do about that. This game is football not chess.

because les practices people falling on others ankles more to strengthen them but its not working out.

Nick didnt believe in ankle strengthening as much.

cmon people, let's not look to point fingers when random injuries occur. there's no getting around them though we've been very lucky the last couple of years.

if its from exhaustion and being overworked or something similar, say a heart attack, then maybe. broken bones and torn ACL's are as random as car wrecks.

They were talking on the radio the other day about Saban's and Miles' different pre-season coaching styles, saying that Saban would take it easy in the offseason to preserve their bodies and so they did not suffer any major injuries. I don't care if AB is done for the season and EJK is out for a while, I'd much rather go full contact and be ready for the opener and avoid another close game like Oregon State.

    Tirk speaks the truth.

LSU has been very lucky with injuries the past couple years...

At least we didnt lose him in the last play of a western carolina game, with LSU us 40 plus points... then that would be something to question.

    :thumb:

Its football. Injuries will happen. CLM will just plug another player (highsmith)

    into the hole.

    Hope EJ heals up quickly.

But its not the end of the world. and the sky is NOT falling.

Lets just be thankful that it didn't happen in the secondary, or at one of the offensive tackle positions. OLB and RB were two positions we could afford to lose, even though it sucks.
