i bake my french bread in covered clay bakers in the oven. that seems to produce the perfect light yet crunchy almost crackly crust with a light and tender inside thats just slightly chewy. damned good, if i do say so. crap. now im craving it. im gonna have to find time to bake some bread.
I had the hot roast beef at Bears yesterday. It was better than most . . . but not as good as the hot roast beef at The Library on Chimes once was.
Forgive me, I haven't been down West Lee in awhile. Is this gonna be the same building that Portobello's was in? I know Portobello's opened a location on George O'Neal Rd but I was thinking there were 2.
I had a burger there today. The meat tasted pretty generic and had obviously come from a frozen pre made patty. If I ever go there again I will not be ordering a hamburger. The one bright spot was that they do have the little packets of Heinz ketchup so I didn't have to put that crappy House Recipe on my fries.
