They opened one in Slidell within the last year. :thumb: I keep saying I'll try something new but i always revert back to the roast beef.
You gotta stop worrying so much about political correctness. I draw the line at ketchup. Hunt's is a pale imitation and all the rest of the brands totally suck
When I was a kid there was a ketchup called Snyder's Spicy Ketchip that was fantastic, but it went away in the 70's . . . Supposedly there is a new thing with expensive designer catsups out there trying to break into the maket that buys the fancy designer salad dressings. I just want a thick, tasty inexpensive ketchup. Heintz and Hunts are about it, sadly.
Just had lunch there and I now put it one notch above my old favorite, Rocco's. I had the Ferdie (Guess they stole it from Mother's) and it was great. My wife had the Bleu Burger and I almost swapped mine for hers. Also had to get a small order of the Fried Jalapenos. My next order will include the Cajun Fries.
malcolm gladwell, the writer, agrees. he has written a big treatise about why heinz is the most perfect ketcup possible. apparently heinz perfectly mixes all the majot flavors, sweet, bitter, salty and umami or whatever. it is pretty good.
i need to check it out over thanksgiving since this will be our last trip for a while. i need to call and find out their holiday hours.
