Indeed, most people do. The problem is that issues are not always black and white anymore, if they ever were. There are shades of gray here and its hard to find the balance point sometimes. Does a bad joke always rise to racism? Maybe its just a bad joke. Conversely, much inner truth is revealed by a person's humor. This girl may not be a racist, just joking with a friend and forgetting she's on candid camera (boy, that's a dated reference, ain't it?). She deals with white people all day and a lot of them are rude, what a shock! But public foolishness will get you fired and she learned a lesson. Life's a bitch.
I don't know what she thinks. She tried to pass off her adopted brother as her son and says we are all "descended from Africa". I have to wonder if at any time, any of the black folks she worked with or taught ever got curious.
