What I don't understand is why are they bothering Nokia? All Nokia is is the corporate sponsor for the Sugar Bowl itself, not the BCS as a whole. If they're going to annoy sponsors of all BCS bowls with unsolicited emails as a means of protesting the BCS, then they should be emailing Rose Bowl officials, too. Finally, shouldn't they wait until after the Rose Bowl to do this because, if (sorry, when) Michigan wins, theirs is a moot point anyways. Idiots.
This whole bcs and usc stuff is really getting on my nerves. They don't deserve to be #1. They didn't beat a top 5 team twice this year. They didn't win a championship game All they did was beat a bunch of lesser teams. The coaches are prejudice against us They must think the pac 10 is better than the sec. how else could usc be #1? US AGAINST THE WORLD I HOPE MICHIGAN BEATS THEM 77-0 and makes them look like ASSES FOR ALL THE TROUBLE THIER CAUSING. THIS IS TURNING INTO A NIGHTMARE AND WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS UNTIL JAN 1, OR FOREVER IF THEY BEAT MICHIGAN IF THIS ISN'T A CASE FOR A PLAYOFF SYSTEM I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.
This is wha I e-mailed them: As a LSU fan this has to be one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen. All season long USC has pointed to the strength of schedule as justification for the fact that USC was ranked ahead of LSU. NOW, the BCS doesn't work and should be eliminated because, gasp, USC did not get invited to the big dance. For the past week it had been reported that, win or lose, Oklahoma was going to the Sugar Bowl. Where were the howls of indignation from the USC faithful then? There were none because it was supposed to be LSU getting screwed. Well, after beating 4 teams that were ranked in the top 25 when we played them and beating the 5th ranked team (when we played them) TWICE, it should come as no surprise that teams like Notre Dame and Hawaii hurt your SOS. And don't try the "they were good when we scheduled them" argument. LSU scheduled Arizona the year they were number one in the Pac-10 and they were piss poor this year. You knew the rules going in and, until last weekend, sang their praises. If there is anybody USC should be pissed at it is the Pac-10 conference for not having the balls to have a conference championship. Winning the SEC championship game is the ONLY way LSU was able to move up to number two. As a forty year fan of LSU I must ask you if it is making you feel better by attempting to taint a championship game that LSU faithful have been waiting for since 1958, a game that LSU won the right to participate in by beating #5 Georgia ON THE FIELD, not on the Internet? The three one-loss teams played under the SAME rules and the results are a product of those rules. Did USC get screwed? Yes, by the piss poor play of their fellow conference teams and by the fact that your conference does not have a conference championship game. Even kids know that pissing in the sandbox when you do not get your way comes back to haunt you every time. I have been a fan of USC but , after witnessing the behavior of disgruntled USC fans trying to ruin something I have waited 40 years for with childish, classless behavior, I am no more.
