1. BR Area - Da-Jo-Nel's on Jefferson. Off the beaten path, quiet, with excellent food.

NO Area - Take your pick. I am a big fan of Delmonico's. I wouldn't do Commander's for a romantic dinner. That is more for the experience of dining there. Bella Luna is very nice, also. There are so many to choose from, that you can't really single one out.
  2. You've got the right idea Little Daddy

And you can take one of those river boat dinner cruises too in either N.O. or even BR I think ... dancing and and a quiet stroll out on an open moonlit deck ... :thumb:

  4. In NOLA

    Maximo's on Decatur
    Irene's
Tony Angelo's (Wine Room, or the Famigla Room)
Ruth's Chris on Broad St (still the all time best)
Crescent City Steakhouse on Broad St. (the private booth's rock)

    In BRLA
    Panetta's near Ivar's (if it's still open)
  5. Maximo's may be the best nouveau Italian I have ever eaten.
Never been to Irene's but based upon your list, its probably a winner.
Tony's is Tony's. Get there early for a stuffed artichoke, they run out.
    Ruth's on Broad. Nuff said.
CC Steakhouse. Not Ruth's but very good.

And yes, Panetta's is still open.
  6. My parents went to August in N.O. and LOVED it. I like Mansurs on the Boulevard here in B.R. I would also be content if a boyfriend came over and cooked for me AND cleaned up afterwards. However, its pretty hard to find any 23 year old guys who know how to clean anything
  7. true but the point is to drive YOUR woman crazy not the girl working the drive thru.
