Yeah, the OT win over Tenn was the game after UAB. Definitely a turning point. Another was the last minute win over Kentucky (year before the Bluegrass Miracle) when Ro found Clayton for a TD with 13 seconds left. There were a lot of disgruntled LSU fans after that win but I remember thinking that you should never complain about an SEC road win.
Domanick Davis was on the radio this morning and he said he'd be on the sidelines for the game. Hope he beats out Anquan Boldin for offensive rookie of the year.
I heard on the Radio that pretty much the entire 1958 team would be on hand. They bought 500 tickets and are sitting as a group.
This is what it's all about, all the players in the past that have contributed to the success of our overall program. Rohan is the "posterboy" for what patience, hard work/determination and being a team player can bring. This is just as important to them as it is for our current players.
It's great to have the great players from the past to ref up the emotion. However, hope the players don't feel too much pressure from their presence and tighten up. Maybe they should player some funky music in the locker room before they head out to the field, just like the game this year at Tiger Stadium with the rain delay. ________ VAPIR VAPORIZER REVIEW
Rohan Davey was one hell of a leader for our team when he played for LSU. I'll never forget him, and I hope that our current players can appreciate exactly how great he was and is for LSU.
Ro's presence will definitely be felt before, during and after the game. It'll be hard to find a better leader for our boys.
I gave it to my 3 month old godchild/nephew at the time (he's 6 now), but I do have access to it. I have Craig Nall's White Indy helmet at my house.
