BTE is where I was headed next, but my computer crashed. So, with the use of my old man's computer, I bring you the most disfunctional siblings ever to make music. One of the Oasis brothers at the height of their popularity claimed they were better than the Beatles. I like there music but I don't believe they've yet to accomplish what the Beatles did. But thats just MHO .
That , IMO, is a big reason why they had that sudden drop in popularity. It's a big reason why I never purchased any of their music.
Well here is the kicker. What they meant to say was that they were bigger then Jesus, BUT since the Beatles already claimed that they just went ahead and said they were bigger then the Beatles, THUS making them bigger then Jesus!
Yeah, but the big difference between them and the Beatles: The Beatles actually bounced back from the initial baclash they received from it. Oasis still hasn't, and I really don't expect them to.
I still enjoy their music. My favorite Oasis disfunctional brother moment: They are performing a show. When and where escapes me, but it was a small arena...possibly MTV unplugged. Before the show Liam (vocals) tells Noel (songwriter, musician) that he is sick and can't perform. Noel goes on, has to sing, while Liam sits up in the balcony drinking pints and smoking cigarettes and heckles Noel throughout the duration of the show.
I just downloaded the latest CD by JJ Cale and Eric Clapton off of iTunes. Some really good stuff there. I also listened to some old Robin Trower the other other day. CD entitled "Someday Blues."
