These instructions are brutal, fuck I can't see how anyone on the jury is able to follow along. Why is he reading the instructions prior to closing arguments? Doesn't that seem a little backwards?
DA good job in closing arguments, summarizing: - Rittenhouse instigated all the bloodshed when he pointed his AR-15 style weapon (illegally obtained) at Rosenbaum. - If you instigate a situation, as Rittenhouse did, with an armed weapon you can't claim "self defense" when somebody tries to stop you. - Rosenbaum was not a lethal threat and Rittenhouse should have just run away instead of murdering. - Rosenbaum had nothing in his hands when Rittenhouse murdered him, and Rittenhouse's story that he was worried that Rosenbaum would take his gun to kill other people was just desperate "cockamamie" in an attempt to come up with justification - Rittenhouse "broke down on the stand crying about himself" but not about that he killed anybody on that night.
Maybe in a clown world Absurd point. How else are you going to defend yourself against lunatics with murderous intent (by the child rapist's own statement) without pointing your weapon? Quite the lie. He didn't 'instigate' anything Another lie. He said he was going to kill KR and had him cornered. There was nowhere else to run KR never said he was 'worried' the child rapist would take his gun. The child rapist DID try to take it. KR was lucky to have that sling. Irrelevant. He did society a favor by ridding it of a child rapist, a woman beater, and a third person trying to take his life, all in self defense. I call that a win-win.
The scumbag child rapist who was the only one that legally couldn't carry a gun that night will probably not ever point a gun at a patriots head and say I will kill you again.
