Barbara Bush reminded me of my grandmother. The kind that will hit you with that look when you act up in church, and then tear you up when you got home, and you knew it was coming. This professor is using the death of a former First Lady as a platform to get her 15 minutes. And she’ll get the attention, because this is Idiocracy. We are living it.
I don't know enough about the former First Lady other than her public persona, her efforts focused on literacy, and clearly her stature within the Bush clan. That said, I agree 100 on everything else. Her husband perpetrated evil, Dubya is mostly a dimwit, and Jeb is, well.....Jeb. Dubya appears likable. If most people really knew him, perhaps that popularity might diminish a bit. Barbara served her country. I appreciate that.
I was in the crowd for this one. http://www.wbrz.com/news/lsu-remini...1992-commencement-speech-following-her-death/ “I believe your true happiness in life will be determined by the fulfillment you receive from those who need you,” Bush said.
