He would have to sit out, because Texas is part of the National LOI. He could only play for a school that is not part of it. Most Div 1 and 2 schools are included. The Ivy League, the military academies, and a few other schools are not. The list of schools can be found here:

More twist and turns than an episode of Peyton Place.

You young guys won't know what the heck I'm talking about with this one, you'll have to ask your grandparents. :hihi:

I dont think we keep this kid even if he does sign with us. He may just want to stay close to home. It sounds like he is getting no support about coming to LSU from his family.

    Still undecided:

RJF may be waiting until the DC is official, which is supposed to happen Thursday. Doesn't necessarily mean that it's LSU advantage, but it will give the DC an opportunity to win the family over.

    Maybe it's about playing time?

It sounds very much like Ricky is decided. It's his parents that are causing the delay, it would appear.

Could LSU offer to fly the parents up for all the home games and let them stay at Lod Cook? Is that legal with all those NCAA rules?
I think that it would be not be allowed, but am just wondering.....

PS. Please don't take away any of my two green dots for asking a dumb question. The only way to learn something is to have the courage to ask the dumb question, of which I have become quite adept.:D
