I think the word is that this is a huge reach of a rumor right now. Ricks has been posting cryptic messages on social media for about 1-2 months and the link to OSU seemed to come from an OSU fan who responded to one of his tweets with a buckeyes logo. He’s from CA and his whole family moved to LA when he came to school. They have jobs and his sibling is in school here. I can’t confirm this is completely unreal, but the evidence weighs heavily against him leaving.
The ceiling for my Arik Gilbert fandom is at an all time high and the floor at an all time low. This kid could end up a tiger legend or my most hated “tiger” of all time.
I hope not, hope its just a nasty rumor. All of this transferring out is starting to feel like smoke to something bigger. But I guess it is a sign of the times with the transfer portal. Unhappy, jump ship.
The number of players jumping into the portal all over the country is incredible right now. It felt like an LSU problem during the year, but now that the season is over, big names are coming in all over the place.
