so would joe montana or roger staubach. has nothing to do with clausen. the problem here is expectations and potential put on a kid by scouts/fans then not actually evaluating what you're seeing. you can say you havent seen this surge in arm strength and better decision making or right reads but its there. its been there since middle of last year and it is resulting in wins. sometimes you have to actually reevaluate these players and give them their proper respect. sure it sucks he was our 10th stringer who couldnt sniff the field yet he's been a different player working on a full year now. surely, he will regress at times and make bad decisions just like any other qb but he's quacking and walking like a pretty good one now. agree it will be fun to see how he handles some of UF's outside speed on d.
Yeah.. Clausen and Ainge are elite... QB ratings.. Clausen 130 Ainge 135... but guess who had a better rating... Randall 139... Ainge got love because of his name, both got love because they were better than they were supposed to be, not because they were good.
u need to step away from the gamecube and quit thinking that stuff is reality. are you wagering on those games with imaginary characters too? USL, sigh. and yes ainge was very good but inconsistent at times last year. like many qbs.
oh yeah he did have a sudden surge in weight gain. if the cup melts as he pisses in it then somethings up.
Tirk's got his point. And, remember, David Greene had a 130 rating or so before last season. I'll be watching Clausen like a hawk during the Fla/Tn game. He'll be the key for TN against LSU. I still say he's too small and will perform poorly after taking an early beating. We'll see if Fla gets to him early.
