Doesnt drive me crazy at all, you are an ignorant person, therefore I pay as about as much attention to you as I do dog shyt on the lawn. any test anyone could come up with about voting, I would pass with my eyes close.
No, meaning I avoid it and you. I usually just look at it and shake my head. saying to myself "What a piece of shyt" :hihi:
What are you trying to say here? The Constitution holds to a "one man, one vote" principle in a nation whose Declaration of Independence declares that "all mean are created equal". You're right, it has stood for a very long time. Now, what exactly "doesn't hold water" about it. This leads to someone getting to select the criteria for others to follow. It is inherently undemocratic and unconstitutional. About 40 years ago. And I have written in earlier threads that I think a "National Service" term is a good idea--but as a responsibility of citizenship, not a criteria.
Are you more knowledgeable than the average citizen? The average score for all 2,508 Americans taking the following test was 49%; college educators scored 55%. Can you do better? Questions were drawn from past ISI surveys, as well as other nationally recognized exams. http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/resources/quiz.aspx I answered 30 out of 33 correctly — 90.91 %, so I vote that anybody who does worse than 90% (an "A") should not be allowed to vote :hihi:
Disenfranchised...? I've never had anyone offer to drive me to the polls, pay me to vote, ask me to register multiple times, or stand guard at the polls to intimidate voters of the other party. I believe most people who routinely use the word "disenfranchised" have no idea of the word's meaning other than it represents their poor pitiful, woe is me attitude. I'm a failure so it must be someone else's fault. :dis: The only group that could "legitimately" claim disenfranchisement during the last election is our military personnel who are currently deployed. Some groups can be handed the world and will still blame someone else for their miserable failures. :dis:
The site says the average for this month is 76%. I also scored 90.91%. I think the average person is quite capable of understanding American politics, history, civics, and national issues.
It has nothing to do with being handed anything. We are talking about voting, not handouts. One doesnt have anything to do with the other. Stay on topic if you could and stop trying to make this out of a race issue. By your understanding the 1965 voting rights act was uneccessary?
