While I am all for resting Matt this week, I want our best players on the field for SC. Any team that beats GA at GA needs to be taken seriously.

Twisted it in the 2nd half of the VT game. He only seemed slightly hobbled by it at the time but it seems to be a high ankle sprain. These take time to mend and can linger and nag (no, I'm talking about sprained ankles, not spouses  ).

normally, i would agree that could be the case, but i'm home sick today. perhaps the contagion has a gestation period. ;) even still - a real trick cause i work in the regional corporate office and never see the patients.

I agree. I think that game will be closer than the Auburn game.

Or, we could play him just a little bit each game (like Joe Addai) so that it never heals properly and he will then have a whole month to rest it for ....... the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. (gasp)

Addai's ankle would heal, but then he'd reinjure it. Plus, he's a RB, and even with Flynn's running there's still a big difference.

Flynn is the starter, and he's earned being in that position as long as he's capable. So Flynn will start unless he absolutely can't. His running will be limited and he'll play probably half the game this week, with RP getting snaps in all 4 quarters.

It was mentioned earlier that someone thought he should play a quarter, then sit the rest of the game. That seems like the smartest move to me.

I would hate for the QB to lose his "groove." And it seems to me by sitting him for 2 games is inviting that to happen.
