Nobody kills live babies. They kill fetuses, which are FAR from persons. As for the "women forced to carry dead" that's one of the ramifications of laws that ban abortions, for the sake of non-persons, because providers are frightened away from performing necessary procedures.

First off, it’s not a black and white issue. Health risks are real and should be accounted for in the laws.

Secondly… How long is it a fetus before it’s a baby? If a doctor says “we need to take this fetus early and turn it into a baby with our magic wand” and the mother says “no, just kill it and vacuum it out”, that’s not killing a baby? Or is it a fetus?

And lastly…. You’re saying we should kill babies in the womb so they don’t starve? So like “well I don’t wanna feed this little shit, so cut it up and suck it out”. I’m not understanding what you’re so mad about

 

Religious nutjobs don't give a damn about saving babies.... it's all about self. They just think they're winning brownie points with the Big Boss into heaven. But actually caring for the baby? In a pig's eye. Once that baby is born those same wingnuts have very little interest in voting for daycare, infant healthcare, pre-K, anti-poverty programs, or even sensible measures that would keep children safe from mass-slaughters in schools.

Aside from those things, if Jesus actually existed (which I doubt) he was a Jew. What do Jews say about abortion bans? They say it's a violation of their human and religious rights because a woman has dominion over her own body.

no, they just favor different strategies than you for reducing poverty, etc. and a fairly strong argument can be made for free market solutions to poverty over govt authoritarianism. so for example, when a conservative favors drilling for oil, this means, for example, production of products for babies is cheaper, and driving to get them is cheaper. then there are fewer biden baby formula shortages.
