I personally know somebody who was very close to me who had not one but TWO pregnancies (same fetal syndrome) where the fetus once born had no chance to live beyond a few hours.... and those few hours would be filled with agony unless the newborn were heavily, heavily sedated.

Now this girl, for religious reasons, thought it her moral obligation to carry the fetuses to term..... that was her choice, and I support that choice. But let's be clear about this: it was only RELIGION that caused her suffering through two doomed pregnancies when there was no rational reason, whatsoever, to do so.

As I've said in this thread... this anti-abortionism has almost nothing to do with concern for an "unborn child". The lack of support for that baby once born proves that. It's about selfishness, actually... some brainwashed desire to score brownie points with some higher power.

As such, it is logical to assume if a state considers an un-born human a life worth protecting, there is no grey area.
