What a dumbass. None of this bullshit has anything to do with Hillary running in two years, pervert.

And Landrieu won the most votes last night, did you miss that part?

What socialists? Are you confusing them with screen doors again, Brainiac? And what is the dirty word remark supposed to mean? Obama has put more islamic terrorists under ground than his predecessor.

Well maybe we will see some progressive righties as soon as we can get Obama out in 2 years. He's like Donald Sterling now, doesn't matter if he figures out how to cure cancer no one is going to work with him. This entire election was about him even though it wasn't.

But Mancha got it, I feel fine...

Yes, Obama has to do what is necessary. A president can't always afford to be an ideologue. I believe what Shane is referring to is the larger wave of Liberal sentiment that says that you can't tie terrorism to Islam. To do so attacks the religion as a whole and all of the innocent, faithful, peaceful people in it. So now ISIS or Al Qaeda or whoever are now Terrorists, not Islamic Terrorists.

This debate has played out over radio, tv, and internet. Now, in all liberal arguments, one is either wrong and vilified or right and glorified. Example, Bill Maher got excommunicated from Liberalism and now the "bigot" faces being dropped from UC Berkley Commencement speech in December while Ben Affleck has reached a higher level of Liberal Consciousness.

Then Shane is lying by tying it to Obama, isn't he? No, what Shane is talking about is the old conservative lie that Obama never uses the word terrorist.

This isn't a matter of liberal arguments but of logical ones. Islam is a religion with 1.6 Billion people. There are not 1.6 Billion terrorists. Waging war on Islam plays right into terrorists propaganda's hands. Islam is just a religion. Jihadists terrorists are members of that religion, for sure. We need to drive these people apart, not make them all band together by lumping them all as terrorists. And it is happening. The Arab Spring, the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, the Gulf War, the ISIS rebellion in Syria--all Arab-on-Arab conflicts.

Islamists and jihadists are all two separate things. Islamists want their countries to revert to strict islamic law. Arab jihadists want to use violence to force their views on muslims and non-muslims alike. The terrorists are jihadists. Our war on terror is a war on jihadists, which is achievable, not a war on Islam, which is impossible. Moreover, most of the terrorists are Arabs. The Persians in Iran and the Mayasians/Indonesians practice a form of Islam that does not include jihad.

The Republican notion that we are fighting a war on Islam is the same brainless bullshit that got us into the Iraqi quagmire. Shane is attracted to brainlessness of course and is its great champion.

You are being disingenuous. That video contains lots of references to not using the word "terror", none of them dated. All the references with the President are from the first 16 months of his administration in 2009 and 2010. He sure sounded confident and forceful, didn't he? Lol. The truth is that after he gained office, he immediately shifted the verbiage regarding terror, Islam, and the Middle East and that included written documents.

"Obama advisers who are rewriting a document spelling out the country's national security strategy plan to leave out references to "Islamic radicalism," counterterrorism officials said."

"The change is a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventative war and currently states: "The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century."

"That shift away from terrorism has been building for a year, since Obama went to Cairo, Egypt, and promised a "new beginning" in the relationship between the United States and the Muslim world. The White House believes the previous administration based that relationship entirely on fighting terror and winning the war of ideas."

And where are we today? Terrorism and islamic extremism is STILL the lense we see Muslim countries through. It matters little that only a relative handful of the populace actually commits terror. The millions of others who stand by and don't take up arms to quell their violent murdering ways is all the US needs to know. The great men and women of this country have always been willing to fight and die for the cause of freedom. Quiet muslims will not. Obama gave a nice effort to change the rhetoric, make nice, send lots of money their direction, even called isis the JV team in January. How's that working out?
