Are you asking me whether I want to re-think my own values on the subject of torture? If so, hell no I don't want to rethink it. My statement was made with regards to our traditional stance on torture; that we DO NOT do it. It was never a question of whether it was happening during the Bush Administration; we all knew it was. My point was that it runs completely contrary to our values as a nation; or at least what our values once were.

Have you not read the report? It is explicitly clear that torture never garnered us any pertinent information, never saved lives and, in fact, we were lied to about the results gained from these "enhanced" methods. Stop acting like this worked because it didn't. Furthermore it compromised who we are as a nation and what we value as a free people. This argument that we have to match the insanity of our enemies in order to be successful is a lie.

So you think torture only happened while Bush was President....got it. That is incredibly naive. Obama promoted Brennan and he's been running at full speed. It also happened under several Presidents before Obama.
