1. Nuh uh you slick bastard. I aint walking into this trap. NO WAY!!!!
  2. It's being reported that the plane has landed. 10's of people are reported as showing up. Gus seemed overwhelmed. Hard to tell if it was the idea of being at home or simply being overcome by the pesticide emanating from ongoing air traffic in the vicinity.

  6. I'd a thought there were more gumps show up for his arrival than that. You sure Saban was not on the plane, just to make sure?

  7. Gotta be giddy wherever he was watching. If Bielema to the barn, not so funny. There are a lot of discipline issues with these tigers and frankly Gus struck out with Michael Dyer, again, at arky state.
  8. Those EXACT same things ran through my mind.
  9. As strange as we've seen coaching contracts, buyouts, settlements, and the like over the years this one is certainly unique.

Right now Auburn is paying Chizik more not to coach than Malzahn to coach the Tigers.

Gus and his trip around the money-go-round is pretty weird in itself. If you look back over the last two years he's gone from getting a raise to 1.3MM, then turning down a HC job at a reported 3MM, taking a job 500K less at 800K, then joining Auburn getting paid less than the guy they just fired?
  10. He was a high school offensive coordinator just six years ago or so, now he's in the driver's seat of high-profile, yet radioactive school. This might kill his career completely if he doesn't come through. There's just nothing about him that screams "Auburn" to me. Auburn is supposed to be powerhouse, smash-mouth, defense-driven football. He's going to turn it into a three-ring circus. I see another winless SEC season or two for the Plaineagletigersmen.
