There is NO great addition to the SEC, the SEC doesn’t need to change a single thing. We have won 5 straight national championships and don’t need any adjustments.

If the other conferences want to get together and form a super conference so they can play a tougher schedule and have the winner be a little more prepared to face off with the SEC champs in the BCSNCG, then that’s great for them. Not the SEC!!

All I see from creating these super conferences, is opening the door to growing the ignorance that already surrounds college football.

    ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY

From a financial standpoint I have to agree, but I’m stilled pissed that the PAC-12/PAC-16 is even forcing the issue, let it be. They get just as many opportunities to play in High Paying Opener's, High Paying BCS Bowls, High Paying Primetime Games, and High Paying National Spotlight games as we do in the SEC. The formula is simple = WIN - People will watch you!

I think I've addressed this one before, but there's no way the West gets split. The only logical way to move one team from West to East is if it is Auburn. No way does 'Bama let that happen, because unless the move is accompanied by replacing the ridiculous "traditional rival" scheduling rule with an even more ridiculous one, 'Bama would have to give up its annual matchup with either Auburn or Tennessee. Not going to happen.

Conferences are expanding whether you like it or not, its because of $$$ and keeping up with the Kardash, I mean Joneses. The SEC is the standard but apparently the SEC is not content with standing pat with change a-brewin across the country.

With that said, there are great additions, good additions, average additions, poor additions, and everything in between. I think Texas A&M is between a good and great addition for the conference, while it doesn't fit the Eastern description of the SEC, it borders Ark. and La. There is a long standing rivlary/tradition playing LSU. Solid football and baseball, huge endowment and great facilities. Enormous enrollment and alumni base. The Texas television market.

I think they will have to give up Tennessee wouldnt you think ?
I would suspect we are dropping Florida from the regular schedule and replacing them with A&M yes ?

If we had to pick anybody, I guess A&M makes sense, but its going to take me a while to like it

The only way I would accept it is if aTm starts the s-e-c chant this year before they even get out of the big 12.

On another story does this mean that the sec will go after Va Tech?

It makes more sense than Texas teams going to the Pac 12, the last thing I want is a divisional rival from Cal. or Minn., now that makes zero regional sense. I like A&M compared to other alternatives. Teams like Clemson, FSU, G.Tech, UNC fit the SouthEASTERN Conference description better, but are UF, UGA, and USC going to let those teams in??? Moving into the Texas market makes the most sense.

I would love to add Florida State to the sec, but the sec is always set against having two schools from the same state, they usually try to stick to the flagship schools.....with the exception of Auburn and bama. Thats why id be surprised if they add fsu, ga tech, N carolina kida makes sense though, s carolina/ N carolina...but with NC's track record with the ncaa not sure they want that.

...and with the exception of Vandy and Tennessee AND Mississippi State and Ole Miss. Between us, that's three examples.
