Yes really, considering the enormity of the problem. I could have written a thesis-length reply. Consider yourself lucky that I opted for brevity. And if you are looking for 24 words or less, may I suggest you just occupy yourself with haiku.
And then there's this.... ATF&E recovered all these (over 1,000) from just one residence in Holmby Hills. That's where the Playboy Mansion is. Average home price? $17M. Wow.
No, it isn't. Nowhere in America is there a limit that I'm aware of. In CA, you can only buy one handgun per month, not sure about long guns. Let's say it's the same, obviously this person has been purchasing, assuming legally (although probably not) at least one weapon every month for about 7 years. They found the weapons upon serving a warrant. This is drug-related no doubt, maybe cartel. Update: The suspect, Girard Saenz, held up a team of house cleaners back in 2017 when he found them on a Malibu property owned by his longtime companion, Cynthia Beck. Beck is the real estate mogul who also owns the Holmby Hills mansion where authorities arrested Saenz Wednesday. Beck has 3 daughters with J. Paul Getty's son, Gordon Getty. Saenz was arrested inside the Holmby Hills home on suspicion of unlawful transportation, giving, lending or selling an assault weapon. This is Gordon Getty.... What a strange connection. I have thoughts about the Getty family and they aren't good.
we need common sense solutions: think tactically, reduce access/ ID carry access only, metal detectors, door stops engaged from the inside on all doors situation drills, security expert consultation, pta/school district/community meetings where active shooter scenarios/training/ are discussed... common sense background checks, 3 day waiting period, active and persistent enforcement of current laws, lots of other things not right off the cuff....and prayer, lots of it
